Parison Pre-Pinch & Cooling
Top End Pre-Pinch Jaws
Mounted directly above the blow mold clamps, this product can serve multiple functions. Clamping the parison during extrusion allows for pre-blow air. Additionally, lengthened chilled clamping during the molding cycle creates a pre-hardened top plastic flashing. The latter is primarily used for heavier blow molded parts, secondary automation requirements, or parts that have flashing sagging issues during the extraction.
Our Cooling Pre-Pinch Jaws Feature:
- Water circulation throughout the pinch jaws to accelerate flashing cooling
- Stainless steel / aluminum construction to inhibit rust
- Customizable jaw sizes for your specific needs

Bottom End Pre-Pinch Jaws
Mounted below the molds, this product primarily serves to pre-pinch the parison, so that pre-blow may occur. This product is water-cooled with customizable jaw profiles, and uses an “air spring” technique to maintain constant pressure on the parison pinch during mold close.
Our Bottom Pre-Pinch Jaws Feature:
- Regulated Air cylinder “air spring” constant pressure system
- Platen or mold mounting
- Water cooled customizable pinch jaws
